The Brief:

This rural client needed a robust yet easy-to-use website as a valuable part of their association membership.

Sheep breeders than signed up as members needed to have access to exclusive content, a breeders directory and more.

These password-protected features needed to be easy to navigate for the user, and easy to update and add to by the client - they needed this website to facilitate constant value being provided to their members with ease.

Not only that, it also needed to act as a touchpoint for anyone looking to do business with an association member, as well as educate the general public about the Wiltshire Horn breed and the role of the association itself.


The Website

The Australian Wiltshire Horn Sheepbreeders Association (AWHSA) website needed to meet the following needs:

  • Educate and engage website users about both the breed and the association

  • Offer a directory of member breeders and farms that was easy to navigate

  • Promote the membership benefits and guide visitors through the application process

  • List upcoming shows and event details

  • Act as a portal for members access their exclusive content & tools

Website features

  • Built in Squarespace, allowing for easy use by the client when needed

  • Password protected page for member-only access

  • Directory of registered members & breeders that can be searched by category, state or keyword search. New members can be added easily by the client.

  • Gallery function from previous shows and events, as well as member breeding stock

  • A vast range of useful information, organised for ease of use.
